Outreach

OASIS works to inform community members about the wide range of services we provide, ensuring that survivors and the general public know where to turn for support.

We promote community education to reduce stigma and increase the likelihood that survivors will seek out supportive services. As part of our outreach efforts, we distribute resources and 24/7 Crisis Line Pull-Tab Posters throughout Watauga and Avery Counties and actively participate in community fairs, school events, and public awareness campaigns to increase visibility and accessibility of OASIS resources.

We also organize events and fundraisers in partnership with local schools, businesses, churches, nonprofits, and other community members. By collaborating with community partners, we strengthen local networks of support for survivors and provide training, guidance, and materials for volunteers and community advocates, empowering the community to respond effectively and compassionately.
