Language Advocacy

OASIS’s Language Access Advocate coordinates and oversees our language access programs, ensuring equitable access to services for survivors in the High Country.

Program services include:
  • Providing bilingual advocacy to support Spanish-speaking survivors
  • Utilizing a language line to ensure advocates can communicate with survivors in any language, including American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Supporting undocumented immigrant survivors in exploring and navigating U Visa, T Visa, and VAWA immigration protections
  • Connecting survivors to trusted immigrant-serving community resources, including Immigrant Connections, Immigrant Justice Coalition, and New Arrivals Institute

OASIS is dedicated to providing culturally responsive, inclusive, and accessible services so that all survivors—regardless of language or immigration status—can receive the support they need.
